During the month of December we invite children
to come to Princeton for a party.
At
the party the children, accompanied by grown up "Mice",
select gifts for people that they love and want to remember
at Christmas. The gifts are collected during the year
by members of the United Methodist Women and by members of
the Church.
After they choose their gifts, the "Mice" help the
children wrap and
tag their secrets to be presented at Christmas.
The children decorate gingerbread men, sing Christmas songs,
and hear the story of the first Christmas.
It's a loud and messy afternoon
but hopefully the children find out that giving is what
Christmas is all about and that they can participate in
showing their love to the important people in their life. |
